The beginning!

I have started developing with the cakePHP framework on 11.03.2010 and it has been about 3 weeks since I downloaded my first zip of cake. I started out by watching 12 short but great videos that Andrew Perkins has compiled and he does a great job of getting you started. When you start watching Andrew's videos, he gets you through the basic navigation and file structure of cakePHP and then when you start to get overwhelmed he introduces you to cake bake which is the command line use to build your CRUD functions and establish connections in your relational database.

Now that I am 3 weeks into development with cake and have spent many debugging and troubleshooting hours, I have decided to document everything.

This will hopefully help future users and give me a chance to refer back to previous problems I have had.
